Karen Walton
Neuropsychologist & Director
MA Psychology, M Soc Sci Counselling Psychology, PG Dip Addiction Care
Karen is a psychologist at Walton & Associates Psychology, where she works with adults navigating a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Her approach is grounded in understanding how the brain and body respond to stress, trauma, and ongoing strain — aiming to help people make sense of what they are experiencing, particularly when things feel confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to explain. She draws on evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), while adapting therapy to suit each individual's needs. Karen aims to create a space that feels calm, collaborative, and non-judgemental, where people can begin to understand themselves differently and develop practical ways of moving forward. She works closely with psychiatrists and other professionals, dedicated to working comprehensively and holistically.
